Great news! The insurance company has approved our claim for wind damage and we're proceeding with the repair on the slide. Our management company (CAM) and the company doing the repair/replacement (PlayWell Group) traded some emails yesterday. At this point we're just waiting on the deposit to clear and PlayWell Group will begin removing the old slide and boarding up the slide entrance temporarily. They'll also go ahead and place the order for the new slide so it can begin the manufacturing process and start making its way to Austin. We haven't received an actual date, but I'm hopeful they'll get started early next week – at the latest. The last time we discussed timelines I was told they would do the removal a couple days after they received a signed order and a deposit.
We have a quote to repair the slide and are talking with the playscape company to take action as soon as possible. We'll need to file a claim with the insurance first. In the meantime, given the legal advice from one of the residents we have roped off the playscape. We all want to get the playground back open as soon as possible and the board is working to make that happen.
